RIVERVIEW ACRES – KAWAKIREI SHIBA INU INFORMATION

The goal at Riverview Acres is to breed for excellence. KAWAKIREI is the kennel name prefix we use for our shibas. Litters are carefully planned to produce healthy and happy dogs. Currently we have one or two litters per year. Our puppies are raised in our home where they can be cared for not only by their mother, but also the rest of our clan. The puppies are loved and socialized by our entire family and friends bringing about independent, loving and self confident puppies.

Homes for our puppies are carefully screened. Puppies are either placed in show or pet homes. Puppies placed in pet homes as family pets come with a limited (non-breeding) AKC registration status and a spay/neuter contract. All pups are micro-chipped for identification and protection. We maintain contact with everyone who purchases a puppy from us to ensure all questions are answered.

Since litters are carefully planned we may at times have a waiting list for puppies.  A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is required to hold a puppy. If you don't want to wait we will always help you try to find another breeder or locate a puppy for you.

We believe that a puppy is a serious lifetime commitment, one that should not be taken lightly. We subscribe to philosophy "If you don't rescue, don't breed". We maintain a lifetime commitment to all puppies raised and sold by Riverview Acres. If for any reason, you are not able to keep your companion for its entire life, it ALWAYS has a home here.

All puppies sold are microchipped for your protection and theirs.

 

Purchasing a Companion Puppy

If you are interested in a companion puppy, here are some answers to questions you may have to start with.

·        Puppies are evaluated between 8 to 10 weeks to determine whether pet or show prospects.

·        All companion puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract on a Limited AKC Registration. The purchase price is $900.

·        We do have a waiting list for puppies. So contact us soon if you are interested.

Purchasing a Show Puppy

Below are some answers to questions you may have whether you want to make the commitment to purchase a show puppy. Please feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

·        Puppies range in price from $1,100.00 to $1,500.00 depending on the sex and age.

·        Puppy will be raised so as not to stifle his outgoing character.

·        Puppy will have only a minimum of obedience training until his championship is attained.

·        Puppy will be crate trained so that when he does attend shows he will be accustomed to the “show routine.”

·        If the puppy does not meet the requirements to be a show dog, the original purchase price will be refunded down to a pet price.

All show dogs purchased from Riverview Acres will be required to pass certain health tests before they are bred.
